I think YES!
Studies showed that last year, women outnumbered men in earning their doctorate degrees for the first time. Apparently the seven years of post-undergraduate education hasn't discouraged us.
Washington Post - Report: More women than men in U.S. earned doctorates last year for first time
No more sitting around waiting for hubby to come home to make him some grub. We are more determined than ever to become smarter, more powerful women.
Although, I don't agree with Buckingham in her interview - What Women Want

She emphasizes that women are now moving away from the Carrie Bradshaw mentality and women are now finding a stronger connection with the Angelina Jolie's of the world. If you ask me... I hear more frequent and greater responses to the words:
1. David Yurman
2. TIffany's
4. Gucci
and
5. Johnny Depp
than when I hear "you'll need to commit the next seven years of your life to this text book if you want THIS doctorates program" ...
Then again... I would probably have the same reaction.
